Blowout - channel 4

A slick and stylish sketch show stuffed with upbeat offbeatness. Blowout is a concentrated burst of silliness featuring the funniest fresh faces around- William Andrews, Greg McHugh, Leah MacRae, Susan Calman and Michael Manley. One-off sketches are complimented by character creations including the hilariously heroic Dr Frank, Gary Tank Commander's unique insights into Iraq and the strangely affecting Spanish Man With A Cup. Fast, funny, feelgood fun featuring everything from pointy fingers in the boardroom to Green Goblins in the bedroom.  

 

Since it was broadcast in October 2007 as a Channel 4 Comedy Lab, Blowout has won Best Comedy at the Scottish BAFTAs and has also been nominated for Best Entertainment at the Celtic Media Festival.
